Sports Scottish Conservatives: Douglas Ross to stand for leader


Douglas Ross, the MP for Moray, has confirmed he’ll be a candidate for the Scottish Conservative leadership.

Mr Ross is extensively viewed as the popular to succeed Jackson Carlaw, who quit on Thursday after less than six months within the job.

If he turns into chief, he’ll stand for election as an MSP in subsequent May per chance’s Holyrood elections.

Ancient chief Ruth Davidson has agreed to stand in for him for the length of First Minister’s Questions until then.
