A pilot died when his gentle plane crashed in a self-discipline in East Sussex, police bear acknowledged.
The plane came down in open floor off Herring lane, north of Heathfield, at about 11: 00 BST.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Carrier acknowledged crews had extinguished a blaze on the scene, which is advance a flying college.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has confirmed it’s investigating. The pilot has no longer but been named.
A Sussex Police spokesman acknowledged the plane had caught fire after crashing, at the side of: “Sadly, the pilot is believed to bear died without extend. His next of family members had been suggested.”
